A man has been arrested after a car was driven into a group of people Friday night.

Police were called at 9.55pm on November 8 to reports of a crash in Mitcham Road, near Tooting Broadway underground station.

Five people were injured and they were taken to hospital; their conditions are not life threatening.

One of the cars collided with a nearby KFC and "significant disruption" was caused.

The driver of a vehicle was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and is in custody at a south west London police station.
