A man has been taken to hospital after being attacked in Brixton.

Police and paramedics were called to Station Road yesterday to a man who was injured.

The man, who is said to be in his 30s, was taken to hospital and his injuries are considered not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Police have said that it is believed that the man was assaulted and an investigation has been launched to find out the circumstances of the incident.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 14:36hrs on Saturday, 1 October to reports of an injured man in Brixton Station Road, SW9.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.

“A man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

“Initial enquiries suggest the man had been assaulted and an investigation is taking place to establish the circumstances.

“No arrests have been made.

“Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 3807/01Oct.
