A man was rushed hospital after being shot in a Brixton street during the early hours of this morning (November 27).

After being found by police and paramedics in Stockwell Road at 3.20am, he was taken to hospital as a priority.

His injuries were deemed not life-threatening or life-changing.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3:26am today (27 November) to reports of an incident at Stockwell Road, SW9.

"We sent an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a tactical response unit and a medic in a fast response car.

"We treated a person at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority."

A spokesperson for Lambeth Police said: “We’re investigating a shooting at around 3.20am in Stockwell Road SW9.

“A male was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed not life-threatening or life changing.
