A man from Lambeth has been charged with murder after a man died from stab injuries when he was found by officers wounded outside a hospital.

Justice Beckford, 22, of Lambeth, was charged with murder on today (December 18) and will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

At around 4.55am on December 10, police found 24-year-old Abraham Kallon outside Kings College Hospital suffering from stab injuries.

The officers were originally dealing with a separate matter at the hospital but after finding Abraham, gave him first aid and called for medical help.

He died a short time later.

On December 11 Greenwich Mortuary gave cause of death as stab injuries.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan: “Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of 24-year-old Abraham Kallon have charged a man.

“Justice Beckford, 22 (8.07.00), of Lambeth, was charged with murder on Sunday, 18 December.

“He will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 19 December.

“At about 04:55hrs on Saturday, 10 December, officers dealing with a separate matter at King’s College Hospital, in Denmark Hill, came across Abraham suffering stab injuries outside the hospital building.

“Officers administered first aid and arranged for Abraham be treated by medics, but sadly he died at the hospital a short time later.

“A post-mortem held on Sunday, 11 December, at Greenwich Mortuary gave cause of death as stab injuries.
