A person has been arrested as police search for a missing man from south London they are “extremely concerned” for.

Justin Henry, 34, was reported missing on Monday, October 16.

He has links to the SE23 area and was last seen in person on the evening of October 15 at his partner’s address in Brixton.

He was later seen on CCTV in Croydon.

Since that time, his family has not heard from him which they say is out of character.

Police have said that while this remains a missing person investigation, Specialist Crime workers have been providing extra support since Wednesday, October 18.

At around 9.50pm on Sunday, October 15 Justin was seen on CCTV buying food at a McDonald’s drive-thru restaurant in London Road, Croydon.

At this time, police believe that Justin drove form the McDonald’s to a nearby location in Croydon where his car, a Mercedes Silver E Class, stayed still for around two and a half hours.

His Mercedes was later found in Kingswood Drive.

Due to unclear CCTV footage, it is not clear who was driving the car when it arrived in Kingswood Drive but Justin’s family has said it is not him.

The police investigation continues and there are currently a number of active lines of enquiry being progressed.

One person has been arrested in connection with this investigation and has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in January 2024.

“If you have any information, no matter how small it may seem, please call police or to remain anonymous contact the independent charity Crimestoppers.”
