La Retraite RC Girls’ School is proud to be at the heart of the local community. Conveniently located in Balham, just a short walk from the tube station and well served by local transport links, our school is easy to access from across South London. We also offer ample on-site parking for those arriving by car. Our facilities are available for hire seven days a week, including evenings and during school holidays, providing flexible options to suit your timetable.
We are proud to open our doors beyond the student body, welcoming private groups, local organisations, and businesses to make use of our wide range of high-quality spaces. Whether you are planning a family celebration, running a weekly fitness class, hosting a community meeting, or organising a one-off event, our facilities offer the space and environment to meet your needs.
We already work with a diverse group of hirers, including churches, football teams, dance companies, and well-known providers such as Activ Camps, a popular holiday club offering engaging sports and activity programmes for children during school holidays (www.activcamps.com). Many of these groups use our spaces on a regular basis, and we are always keen to welcome new organisations who want a trusted, safe, and welcoming venue in Balham.

NEW: State-of-the-Art Podcast Booth
Our latest addition is a professional podcast booth equipped with industry-standard RodeCaster audio equipment — perfect for content creators, interviews and audio production. - ICT suites, classrooms and outdoor spaces with room for marquees, bouncy castles and other event equipment, available for workshops, training sessions, and community activities.
In addition to these, we are excited to introduce a state-of-the-art podcast booth to our facilities. Equipped with professional RodeCaster audio technology, this new space is ideal for podcast recording, interviews, content creation, and media projects.
La Retraite RC Girls’ School also produces its own student-led podcast, Beyond the Bell, which explores a wide range of topics relevant to young people and the wider community. You can find the podcast on popular platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Audible, YouTube, and iHeartRadio. We are proud to offer our hirers the opportunity to gain additional exposure by sponsoring episodes or advertising through the podcast, helping local organisations reach a wider audience.
Our pricing is competitive, with discounts available for block bookings and reduced rates for community groups on selected facilities. We also offer bespoke quotes for one-off function hires depending on the length and location required.
