Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 27-year-old man was shot dead in Brixton Hill.

Kyrone Moodie was found injured in New Park Road around 9pm on September 8.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where he later died.

Another 20-year-old man was also injured.

The men, aged 25, 26, 27 and 28 were arrested on suspicion of murder today (September 24) and remain in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, who is leading the investigation, said: “These arrests mark a significant step as my team continue to probe the murder of Kyrone.

“We are working at pace to establish exactly what led to this tragic incident. 

“Kyrone’s family are also receiving support from specialist officers.

“I know the community remain concerned about this incident and residents can expect to see a continued police presence at the scene of the crime over the next few days.”
